Fascination with computers led me to the intersection of applied arts, information technology, and fast-growing markets. I feel home at their cutting edge, where sparks of innovation fly around.

First, you crawl

I started out in a marketing agency boot camp. The drill of being creative under pressure, working for clients in different industries, and seeing behind the media curtain taught me a lot about business and how the real world works. It’s where I honed my wide range of design skills and cultivated a penchant for bold brands. Some of my work received festival and online awards — the most prestigious being The Webby Awards Honoree.

Eventually, you learn to walk

Frustrated with always having to rush onto the next project without knowing how well our work did after the launch, I started tinkering with side-hustles. Before I knew it, I was pulled into the gravitational field of tech startups. Around the same time, I decided to fix the ‘self-taught’ chip on my shoulder by moving to London and obtaining an MA degree at Central Saint Martins.

I was lucky enough to land freelance opportunities with a few prominent European entrepreneurs, who entrusted me with articulating their vision into an MVP. Later, one of those companies IPO-ed at a record £8 billion, another was acquired for an undisclosed amount, and another successfully expanded its regional business. Others weren’t as fortunate, but by now, the mileage had put me on a map.

In 2013, I joined Celtra where for the next 5 years I oversaw R&D projects, managed a multidisciplinary product team, and grew into a VP of Product role. I temporarily moved to SFO and later flew enough miles between there, LDN, NYC, and LJU to realize that the jet-setting lifestyle is anything but fabulous.

In retrospect, the entire chapter was a buffer-overflow roller-coaster ride to maturity. Along the way, I failed in plenty of ways and times — which I came to understand were life lessons worth more than the fleeting successes I enjoyed.

Nowadays, I run:

Sometimes I have visions of killer products, features, or UX improvements.
Most of the time, I work with entrepreneurs on materializing theirs.
I always do everything in my power to produce ethical, no-BS software that is a pleasure to use.

I live in sunny London, UK. Originally from Slovenia with a colorful Yugoslavian heritage. I have a thing for books, electronic music, surfing, and coffee.
